FALL LEAGUE TEAM INFO
What are the dates of the season?
FALL Season will run August - November.
Where and when will practices be?
FLAG / 7v7 will have one 90 min practice a week. Practice will be held at Preston Hollow Park and a tentative schedule will be emailed once closer to the registration deadline. Flex Practices (a practice with a grade equal to, up or down from your athletes respected grade if you can't make your original team practice) are available for those only with conflicts.
When and where will games be played?
Flag games are played on Saturdays at one of the RISD fields. 7v7 games are played on Sundays at one of the FISD fields.
Are there tryouts?
We do NOT hold tryouts for our LEAGUE TEAMS. These teams are open registration and players will be rostered to a team after our placement practice evaluations. Placement practice evaluations only take place if the amount of registrants surpass league roster maximum. Our teams are not pre-determined and players are not guaranteed to play on the same team as the previous season. All effort will be made to find teams for those that want to play.
Will any teams play in Tournaments?
Our recreational league flag teams do not participate in tournaments but our recreational fall league 7v7 teams will play in one tournament in November to close out the season. If your athlete is interested in tournaments, please see our AO Select info page for more information on how to tryout for one of our top teams.
How do I order a uniform?
The Flag / 7v7 uniform will be invoiced and ordered once season registration closes. Uniform order is not part of registration fees. All new players will need to purchase a uniform. Soft shell helmets are required to play 7v7 and highly recommended for flag. AO practice shorts and practice top are optional and can be purchased at Not Just Soccer in Highland Park.
