AO TACKLE FOOTBALL 2026
AO Sports & Fitness is excited to offer your athlete the opportunity to play in our fourth season of tackle football in the fall of 2026. In the fall of 2025, we had 100 athletes participate, creating five teams. Two of those teams made it to the SVAA Super Bowl (5th Grade Red and 6th Grade Black), and 5th Grade Red brought home our first ever AO tackle championship.
Our teams are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Available to athletes in grades 4 through 6, our teams are open to all skill levels, and there are no tryouts required. If a grade level fills up, a waiting list will be created until enough players join to form a second team. If there are enough players for two teams, evaluations will be held at the first practice of the season to determine the team split. If a second team is not available, athletes may join the practice squad and train with the team for the season. It is highly encouraged to register early to secure your athlete’s spot.
We are proud to have an excellent group of coaches returning next season, many of whom have been with our program for multiple years. The tackle teams will be led by Kenny Wheaton, former Dallas Cowboys defensive back and University of Oregon Hall of Fame inductee, who will serve as Head Coach for all tackle teams.
Our goal is to develop an elite football program focused on teaching players proper technique and skills that lay the foundation for success at the next level. We believe in giving every athlete the opportunity to grow, and positions on our teams are not predetermined. Players will be evaluated using a fair and consistent standard, giving them the chance to try out for any position within league weight restriction guidelines.
Most importantly, our mission is to ensure that our athletes have the best football experience possible as they transition from flag or 7-on-7 to tackle football.

Tackle Camp Registration
Program Components
Practice begins in August.
Two 1.5-hour practices per week.
Program Length: August through November 2026
Seven to ten games will be played on Saturdays.
Grades 4 through 6 will play in the SVAA.

Please click the link below to reserve your athlete’s roster spot. A $500 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold your athlete’s place on the team. The remaining balance will be invoiced on May 1 and must be paid in full by June 1, 2026. Failure to pay the remaining balance will result in forfeiture of the roster spot.
